Getting Started

Welcome to the Budget Planner App. We try as much as we can to make the app intuitive but its often helpful to have a little guide to help you too.
To set up the app we need to collect the details of your bank account (current balance and any overdraft limit). Once we have this information we'll need to collect details of all the payments that come in or go out of your account.
Don't worry, you only have to enter these payment details once!
Below you can see an animation of setting up the bank details.

1. Enter the Current Balance.
Enter you current bank balance - of you're not sure you can guess for now and then update it later. Press next when done.
2. Enter an Account name.
You can give your account a name, something you recognise. It could be the bank its at like Barclays, or Capital One or it could be something more meaningful like Current Account or Checking Account. This name is for you to identify what account it is. You can leave it blank. Press next to continue
3. Your Overdraft Limit.
If your bank account has an overdraft, enter the limit here. If you do not have an overdraft then just click next.
Thats the first part of setting up done! Press next and you'll be taken to our Payment Entry Wizard to start entering payment details. We have a How-To Page for entering payments to. Click here to take a look.
