Our Budgeting app

Our App Started out as a humble, but painful, spreadsheet that was created to track my household spending. I would then spend ages every month updating it!

Above, there is a screenshot of my budget spreadsheet - As you can see I have all my payments in it and then on the right is a running bank balance. Every month I would update all the dates of all the payments and then update the formulas that calculated the running balance.

I thought that there must be an easier way of doing this. As a Mobile App developer I put together a basic app to do all the work for me. It saved me a load of time.

Now - Every month I just had to put in my new bank balance and everything else is calculated for me. One small update and I can see what my bank balance will be for the next year ahead.

After a few months I decided to upload the app to the App Store and see if it could be helpful to anyone else. Version 1.0 was uploaded to the app store in January 2013. It was totally free and pretty basic.

Over the coming years many updates were added to the app - in early version you couldn't even edit your payment information - if you made a mistake you had to delete the payment and create it again!

There have been any updates and improvements since (you can now edit payments for example). We've also added a subscription too. Whilst the main app is and will remain free our pro users enjoy extra features like data sync and advance payment options like being able to specify how long a payment will run for.

We've had a lot of comments from users saying how easy the app is to use and how great it is to be able to see a forecast of future bank balances. We've had loads of feedback and suggestions from users and we incorporate as many suggestions as we can!
